West Central Boys Post Home Win over Tea Area

The West Central Trojan boys won their thirteenth game of the year after a 67-52 win over the Tea Area Titans on Thursday, February 6th.

The game was tied 5-5 at the halfway point of the first quarter.  The offense picked up in the back half of the quarter.  The Trojans finished the first with a 17-15 lead.  West Central continued to maintain their two point lead at 25-23 with 3:00 to play.  Tea Area took the lead, 26-23, with a three-point shot.  The first half ended with the Titans leading 28-27.

West Central went on a 12-4 run to start the third quarter to regain the lead 39-32 with 4:44 left in the quarter.  The Titans worked the lead down to four points, 48-44, by the end of the third quarter.   The Trojans stayed in front through the first part of the fourth quarter and led 58-52 with 4:00 to play in the game.  West Central finished the game on a 9-0 run to secure the win.

Connor Mebius had 28 points and six assists.  Will Kuhl finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.  Kolte Garry pulled down five rebounds.
