Fourth Quarter Run Secures West Central Win over Baltic

The West Central Trojans outscored the Baltic Bulldogs by 15 points in the fourth quarter to help them to a 65-38 win on Monday, January 20th.

The Trojans did lead at the end of every quarter.  Baltic was within four points, 11-7, late in the first quarter, but West Central ended the quarter with a 15-9 advantage.  The Bulldogs pulled within four points again in the second quarter, 24-20.  The Trojans, however, held a 27-20 lead at halftime.  West Central slowly extended their lead to 42-30 by the end of the third quarter.  The big blow came in the fourth quarter when the Trojans outscored the Bulldogs 23-8 for the win.

West Central shot 50% (28-56) overall in the game, 33% (7-21) on three-point shots, and 2-6 from the free-throw line.  Baltic shot 35% (15-43) from the field overall, just 1-13 from three-point area, and 7-11 from the free-throw line.

Connor Mebius had 23 points, five assists, two steals, and two rebounds.  Will Kuhl finished with 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Boche Knight added nine points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
