West Central Boys Fall from Unbeaten Ranks

In a battle of undefeated teams, the Sioux Falls Christian Charger boys defeated the West Central Trojans 65-48 in Hartford on Tuesday, January 7th.

The Trojans held a lead of 6-5 and then again 8-7 with 3:45 to play in the opening quarter.  Sioux Falls Christian then ended the opening quarter on a 16-2 run for a 23-10 lead.  West Central cut the lead to 25-18 with 4:00 to go in the opening half, but the Chargers pushed the lead back to 12, 32-20, by halftime.  Sioux Falls Christian was able to extend their lead to 47-30 by the end of third quarter.  West Central made another run and trimmed the lead to 51-41 with 5:15 to play.  The Chargers, however, ended the game on a 14-7 advantage to hold for the win.

Connor Mebius finished with 12 points, five assists, and two steals.  Will Kuhl also had 12 points with four rebounds and six blocked shots.  Carter Tetzlaff and Boche Knight both had six points each.  Kolte Garry had five rebounds in the game.
