The West Central Trojan wrestling team continued their trip on the western side of the state by participating in the Rapid City Invitational on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th.
The boys team had four individuals place. Brody Gossen won the 120-pound class with a 5-0 record. Kaden Haakinson was second in the 106-pound class with a 5-1 record. Keaton Vessells took fifth in the 157-pound division with a 4-2 record. Karson Vessells placed eighth in the 132-pound class with a 4-3 record. Hayden Whiting (150) had four wins. Langdon Klinkhammer (144) finished with three wins. Alex Siemonsma (126) had two wins. Bentley Klinkhammer (113) and Cain Grocott (190) both had one win each.
For the girls team, Hailey Fortney finished fifth with a 4-2 record. Kyliegh Schuller had a one during the tournament. Leah Schuller also took part in the tournament.
