The West Central Trojans had their 2024 season come to an end in the Region 3A tournament on Thursday, November 7th in Dell Rapids. The Quarriers won in straight sets by scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-5.
Dell Rapids opened the match with a 6-0 run, which set the tone for the entire night. The Quarriers extended their lead to 12-2 and then 20-7 before winning the first set 25-9. The second set started with a 4-1 run by Dell Rapids. They kept building on the lead all set long. The Quarriers led 10-6, 15-8, and 19-9. They would finish the second set with a 6-0 run for the 25-9 win. The third set started with 17 straight points by the Quarriers. They would win the final set 25-5.
West Central finishes the season with an overall record of 10-16.
