Trojans Evens Record with Straight-Set Win over Chamberlain

The West Central Trojans volleyball team hosted the Chamberlain Cubs on Thursday, September 19th.  West Central won in straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-13, and 25-14 to even their overall record to 4-4.

Chamberlain jumped out to an early 6-1 lead to start the first set.  West Central countered with a 9-4 run to tie the score 10-10.  After the score was tied again 14-14, the Trojans went on a 6-1 run for a 20-15 lead and went on to win 25-19.  The second set started close with the Trojans having an early 4-3 lead.  They then went on a big run, outscoring the Cubs 12-1 for a 16-4 lead.  West Central cruised to a 25-13 win in the second set.  The Trojans grabbed the lead to start the third set, 4-2.  They pushed the lead to 10-4.  Chamberlain got within three points, 13-10, but West Central extended the lead to 22-13 before taking the match 25-14.

Madi Ingalls finished with 10 kills, 11 set assists, three digs, and three ace serves.  Cambree Ideker had eight kills, nine set assists, 11 digs, and two ace serves.  Dawson Garry added five kills.  Ella Harden finished with four kills.  Avery Nothdurft had four set assists, 10 digs, and three ace serves.
