Trojans Win Season Opener

The West Central Trojans volleyball team opened the 2024 season against Dak-12 opponent, Vermillion, on Tuesday, August 23rd.  The Trojans earned a straight-set win over the Tanagers.

The first two sets were ended within just a few points.  West Central won the first set by a score of 25-21.  The second set was closer, but the Trojans took the set by a score of 25-23.  The Trojans used the momentum of the first two sets to cruise to a 25-15 win in the third.

Izzy McKinney and Maddi Ingalls both had four kills each.  Dawson Garry and Sophia Gross finished with three kills apiece.  Ella Harden had three blocks, and Adisyn Bartmann had two blocks.  Cambree Ideker had a team-high eight set assists, while Ingalls had six assists.  Avery Nothdurft had 11 digs.  Ideker and Ingalls both had six digs each, and Bartmann finished with four digs.
