The Flandreau Blue Teal scored three times in the final two innings to get a 6-3 win over the Humboldt/Hartford Wood Ducks on Sunday, July 7th in Humboldt.
Flandreau score the first three runs. They got a run in the top of the first and two in the second for a 3-0 lead. The Wood Ducks got one run in the bottom of the second. The score remained 3-1 until the bottom of the sixth. The Wood Ducks added two runs to tie the game 3-3. The Blue Teal, however, would get a run in the top of the eighth and two in the ninth for the win.
Brodie Herr had the only two hits in the game for Humboldt/Hartford, both singles. Keaton Vessells had an RBI. Derek Renken pitched four innings and allowed three earned runs on three hits and six walks with three strikeouts. Brayden Odegaard pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed an unearned run on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Presten Riddle threw 1 1/3 innings and allowed two unearned runs on two hits with a strikeout.
