PBR Ends Gamecocks Winning Streak

Dell Rapids PBR snapped the five-game winning streak of the Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks with a 5-2 win on Sunday, June 30th.

PBR took the early lead with a run in the top of the first inning. Humboldt/Hartford tied the game in the bottom of the third and then took a 2-1 lead with a run in the bottom of the fourth.  PBR went ahead 4-2 with a three-run fifth inning.  They would add an insurance run in the top of the ninth.

Adam Hentges had three hits and an RBI.  Jonah Rechtenbaugh finished with two hits.  Briggs Havlik, Joe Hanisch, Broc Haldeman, and Carter Halverson all had one hit each.  Blake Svoboda pitched five innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts.  Nate Masloski pitched four innings and allowed an earned run on a hit with one strikeout.
