The West Central 16U baseball team cruised past Parker 14-2 on Friday, June 14th. The game was scoreless after the first inning, and Parker held a brief lead in the game.
Parker scored a run in the top of the second for a 1-0 lead. West Central put together a seven-run second inning for a 7-1 lead. They added four more in the third to make the score 11-1. Parker got a run in the fourth, but West Central responded with three more in the bottom of the inning.
Keaton Vessells had two hits, one a triple, and three RBIs. Zach Lorang had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Hayes Cain also had two hits with two RBIs. Nick Lorang added a single and two RBIs. CJ DenBoer had a single and an RBI, and Alex Siemonsma had an RBI.
Langdon Klinkhammer pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and two walks with four strikeouts. Jerrico Klein pitched two innings and gave up an unearned run on six hits with three strikeouts. Siemonsma threw 2/3 of an inning without allowing a hit.
