The West Central Trojan boys basketball team won their second straight game on Monday, December 18th. The Trojans cruised past the Garretson Blue Dragons 69-25.
West Central built a 10-point lead by the end of the first quarter, 19-9. The big spurt came in the second quarter. The Trojans outscored the Blue Dragons 21-2 in the quarter for a 40-11 halftime lead. West Central outscored Garretson 29-14 overall in the second half.
The Trojans shot 49% (25-51) on the night, 50% (11-22) on three-point attempts, and 73% (8-11) from the free-throw line. Garretson finished the game shooting just 19% (8-42) from the field overall, 17% (3-18) on three-point attempts, and 6-7 from the free-throw line.
Connor Mebius had 17 points and three assists. Crew Heier added 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Jake Kuhl finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Carter Tetzlaff had eight points and three rebounds.
