The West Central Trojan track teams traveled to Lennox for the Lennox Oriole Invite on Thursday, April 13th. Several Trojan tracksters had a finishes in the top four of their events.
Molli Thornton placed first in the 100m dash and second in the 400m dash. Emma Goehring placed first in the long jump, second in the 100m dash, and third in the 200m dash. Sadie Berg was second in the 200m dash. Brie Peters took second in the 3200m run. Cambell Fischer was second in the shot put. The 4x100m relay team of Rayna Goehring, Baylee Poss, Al. Borns, and Bailey Stallman was second. The sprint medley relay team of Goehring, Tessa VanOverbeke, Maya Van Hyfte, and Jazelle Jarding also placed second. Aubrey Borns finished third in the 1600m run. Alexa Borns was third in the 300m hurdles, and VanOverbeke was third in the high jump. The 4x800m relay team of Peters, Jarding, Hadley Larson, and Au. Borns finished third, and the 4x400m relay team of Van Hyfte, Poss, Stallman, and Ellie McDonald placed fourth.
Layton Johnson won both the 100m dash and the 200m dash. Wyatt Nielsen finished first in the 400m dash and second in the 200m dash. Liam Schmeichel had a second place in the 110m hurdles and fourth in the high jump. Benjamin Strunk took third in the 1600m run. The 4x800m relay team of Dylan Stromer, Patrick Hammond, Jude Jarding, and Strunk placed third. Carter Schmeichel finished fourth in the long jump. The 4x100m relay team of Preston Butts, Mason Berens, Elliot DeJong, and Rylee Hartung placed fourth. The sprint medley relay team of Berens, Aiden Bartmann, Hartung, and Hammond also finished fourth.
