The West Central Trojan girls and boys wrestling teams took part in the Dak-12 Conference Tournament held at Dakota Valley High School on Saturday, January 21st. The boys team finished second with 217.0 points. The girls team finished with 7.0 points.
Karson Vessells won the 113-pound class with a 3-0 record. Justin Zirpel also took the top spot in a 160-pound class with a 3-0 record. Orlando Whiting had a second place finish in the 126-pound class with a 1-1 record. Chet Carda was second in the 182-pound class with a 2-1 record. Wyatt Nielsen (170) finished third with a 4-1 record. Levi Anderson (120), Connor Siemonsma (138), Keaton Vessells (152), Gabe Gebhard (195), and Cody Optiz (220) all placed third with 3-1 records. Alex Siemonsma (106) and Jesse Jost (132) had fourth place finishes with 2-2 records.
Rayce Whiting (145) finished with a 1-2 record. Abram Maras (285) was 0-2 on the day.
Kyliegh Schuller finished fifth for the girls with a 1-4 record. Allison Foote finished 0-2.
