West Central Boys Win in Madison at DSU Shootout

The West Central Trojan boys basketball team got a win over Little Wound at the DSU Shootout in Madison on Saturday, January 21st.  The Trojans used a big second half for a 58-39 victory.

The Trojans led by just two points, 15-13, at the end of the first quarter.  The lead grew to 26-21 by halftime.  West Central then outscored the Mustangs 32-18 in the second half in their win.

The Trojans were 51% (22-43) from the field, 20% (3-15) from three-point area, and 61% (11-18) from the free-throw line.  The Mustangs were 35% (15-43) shooting overall, 33% (6-18) on three-point attempts, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.

Dylan Stromer had 14 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Carter Schmeichel had nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Erik Seten had eight points.  Connor Eich, Trevin Price, and Carter Tetzlaff all had five points each.  Crew Heier, Brodie Herr, and Owen Heath all had for points each.  Heier had five rebounds, and Herr finished with four rebounds.
