The West Central Trojan boys golf team had a very successful 2021 season. They finished second as a team in the state tournament and won four tournaments during the year. Three of the golfers that played in last year’s state tournament return for the 2022 season, including two medal winners.
Anthony Lanham (T13th) and Trey Evan (T19th) are joined by Kamden Zomer, Connor Mebius, Connor Eich, and Easton Ebrehard as the expected varsity players.
“We are very optimistic going into this season coming off a strong finish last year. We did lose three important seniors, two of which played in the state tournament, but we return a great nucleus from last season and add some very capable players. If we play to our potential, we should have a chance to win every tournament we enter, including the state tournament assuming we qualify out of the very tough Region 2A tournament,” said head coach Jacob Sittig.
