The Tri-Valley Mustang boys hosted the #1 West Central Trojans on Tuesday, February 3rd. The Mustangs ended the first quarter trailing by only three points, 11-8, but West Central would take the win 60-27.
The Mustangs were held to just two points in the second quarter, and they didn’t score until :40 left in the half. That dry-spell helped West Central built a 27-10 lead by halftime. The Trojans would outscore Tri-Valley 22-10 in the third quarter for a 49-20 lead going into the final quarter.
Tri-Valley finished the game shooting 31% (9-29) overall, 28% (5-18) from three-point area, and 4-7 from the free-throw line. West Central shot 58% (22-38) from the field, 33% (7-21) on three-point shots, and 69% (9-13) from the free-throw line.
Brady Jewett had 10 points and three rebounds. Lawson Schneiderman finished with eight points and two rebounds. Ty Oyen added six points.. Mason Hemme had two points and three assists.
