The Tri-Valley Mustang boys wrestling team traveled to Redfield and came home with the team title from the Redfield Invite on Saturday, February 7th. The Mustangs finished with 222.5 points, 14 points ahead of second-place Madison.
Fifteen wrestlers placed in the tournament. Legend Frederick placed first in the 106-pound class with a 3-0 record. Connor Glassford won the 120-pound class with a 4-0 record. Owen Bunde took the top spot in the 132-pound division with a 3-0 record. Chase King (106B), Landyn Reiser (175), and Brody Dybvig (190) all placed second with 3-1 records. Luke Nehlich (285) also placed second with a 2-1 record.
Treyson Richter (157) and Xavier Yount (215) both placed third with a 3-1 record. Cole Hendrixson (144) took fourth with a 3-2 record. Owen Effling (150) was also fourth with a 2-2 4 record. Alex McFarland (132), Brecken Reiser (144), and Elliot Powell (285) finished sixth with 2-3 records. Sean King (113) also placed sixth with a 1-3 record.
Major Richter (165) finished 2-2 for the day. Xander Sharpe (126), Jackson Williams (165), and Jesus Mendoza (165) all finished 0-2 for the tournament.
