Tri-Valley Wrestling Takes Second at Jesse James Invitational

The Tri-Valley Mustang wrestling team placed second at the Jesse James Invitational in Garretson on Saturday, January 6th.  The Mustangs finished with 203.5 points.  Bon Homme/Avon placed first as a team with 230.5 points.

Cole Hendrixson won the 126-pound class with three pins.  Brechen Frederick won the 150-pound class with four wins, three of those pins.  Brody Dybvig took the top spot in the 157-point class with four wins.  Landyn Reiser won the 165-pound division with four wins.  Isaac Nehlich took top honors in the 215-pound class with three wins.  Treyson Richter finished second in the 138-pound class with a 2-1 record.

Connor Glassford (120) had a third place finish with a 4-1 record.  Xavier Yount (190) took third with a 4-1 record.  Owen Bunde (106) placed fourth with a 3-2 record.  Jackson Williams (132) had two wins.  Bracken Sharpe (132) and Major Richter (150) each had one win.

Payton Barrick (106), Cody Lofswold (132), Marcus Oberg (144), Jesus Mendoza (165), and Elliot Powell (190) also took part in the tournament.  Yaretzi Barqueno took part in the tournament for the girls team finishing 0-2.
