Tri-Valley White 17U Earns Two More Wins

The Tri-Valley White 17U baseball team earned two more wins recently.   They defeated Avera on Thursday, June 19th and got a win over Plains on Monday, June 23rd.  Avera also beat Tri-Valley on Monday.

Tri-Valley 9, Avera 6

An early led helped Tri-Valley to a win over Avera on Thursday.  Avera scored a run in the top of the first, but Tri-Valley responded with three in the bottom of the inning.  Avera took the lead in the top of the second, 5-3, after scoring four times.  Tri-Valley wouldn’t let Avera keep the momentum long.  They countered with five in the bottom of the second to go back in front 8-5.  Tri-Valley got one more run in the bottom of the third, while Avera scored their last run in the top of the fourth.

Bracken had two hits, one a double, with an RBI.  Zach, Kadyn, and Blake all had two singles and an RBI each.  Blain had two hits as well.  Elijah had a single with two RBIs, and Aaden had a hit with an RBI.

Tri-Valley 9, Plains 2

A seven-run inning gave Tri-Valley the win over Plains.  Plains scored first with a run in the bottom of the first inning.  They stayed in front 1-0 until the top of the third.  Tri-Valley scored seven runs in the third inning for a 7-1 lead.  Plains added a run in the bottom of the fourth, but Tri-Valley got two more in the top of the fifth.

Denton had two hits and two RBIs.  Aaden had a single and a triple with an RBI.  Zach added a home run with three RBIs.  Kadyn finished with a double.  Blake and Elijah both had a single.  Blake pitched two innings and allowed a run on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.  Luke pitched three innings and allowed a run on a hit with two walks and five strikeouts.

Avera 10, Tri-Valley 9

In a back-and-forth game, Avera got enough runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the win over Tri-Valley.  Tri-Valley got a run in the top of the first.  Avera answered with three in the bottom of the inning.  Tri-Valley again got a run in the second only to see Avera score three more in the bottom of the inning for a 6-2 lead.  Tri-Valley then scored three times in the top of the third to cut the lead to 6-5.  They took the lead, 9-6, with four runs in the top of the fourth.  Avera, however, also scored four times in the bottom of the fourth to win the game.

Denton had a home run and a double with three RBIs.  Kadyn had a single and double with two RBIs.  Aaden and Elijah both had a single with an RBI.  Zach and Bracken both had a double.
