Tri-Valley White won a high-scoring, back and forth game against Elkton on Friday, July 1st.  The two teams combined for 33 runs and 20 hits with Tri-Valley taking the home victory, 20-13.

Elkton scored first with a run in the top of the first, but Tri-Valley tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Brady Jewett scored.  Elkton then had a four-run top of the second.  After holding Tri-Valley scoreless in the bottom of the second, they added another run in the top of the third for a 6-1 lead.

Tri-Valley took their first lead of the game with a six-run bottom of the third.  Blaine Wiezoreck had the only RBI in the inning as several runners scored on wild pitches and passed balls.  Elkton bounced back with two runs in the top of the fourth to regain the lead 7-6.  Tri-Valley took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth with four runs.

After Tri-Valley held Elkton scoreless in the top of the fifth, they put the pressure on with five more runs.  Bracken Sharpe, Jewett, Cooper Nielson, and Austin Puetz all scored in the inning to make the score 16-8.  Elkton tried to rally in the sixth inning, getting three runs.  But once more Tri-Valley responded, this time with four more runs.  Sullivan Snethen, Noah Eggert, Landen Jensen, and Landon McGill all scored for Tri-Valley.  Elkton got their final two runs in the top of the seventh.

Wiezoreck had two hits and two RBIs.  Puetz had two hits and an RBI.  Matthew Cypher finished with three singles.  Jewett, Sharpe, Eggert, and Brenner Struiksma all had singles.  Wiezoreck pitched four innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on four hits and four walks with six strikeouts.  Snethen pitched two innings and allowed six runs, two earned, on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  Jewett pitched one inning and allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks with one strikeout.
