Tri-Valley Volleyball Falls to Dakota Valley on Road

The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team traveled south to play the Dakota Valley Panthers on Tuesday, September 2nd.  The Panthers cruised to straight-set wins of 25-9, 25-11, and 25-10.

Dakota Valley opened the first set with an 8-1 run.  They were able to push the lead to 13-3 and 18-6 before taking the first set 25-9.  The Panthers started the second set with a 5-2 lead.  The Mustangs got within a point, 6-5, but the Panthers then went on a 9-3 run for a 15-8 lead.  They finished the second set on a 6-3 run for the 25-11 win.  After an early 3-1 start in favor of the Panthers in the third set, Dakota Valley extended their lead to 7-3 and then to 15-7.  A 10-3 run by the Panthers ended the set and match, 25-10.

Brooke Steineke had four kills, four digs, and three set assists.  Rowyn Gacke had six digs and an ace serve.  Emry Jones added five digs, two blocks, and two set assists.  Kadence Davey led the team with nine digs, and Brooklyn Ruth had five digs.
