Tri-Valley Maroon 14U Wins One of Two on Consecutive Nights

Tri-Valley Maroon 14U won one of two games on back-to-back nights.  They defeated Canistota on Tuesday, June 13th, but lost to West Central Blue on Wednesday, June 14th.

Tri-Valley Maroon 19, Canistota 3

Tri-Valley scored five times in the top of the first inning.  Canistota scored three times in the bottom of the inning for a 5-3 score.  Tri-Valley’s offense continued to roll through the game.  They scored two times in the top of the second, two in the top of the fourth, and then 10 times in the top of the fifth.

Abbott Moeller had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs.  Treyson Richter finished with two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.  Jaxson Rise had two singles and an RBI.  Kobe Krome had a hit and three RBIs.  Cooper Durick added a single and two RBIs.  Parker Atwood also had a hit and an RBI.  Cooper Nielsen had two doubles.  Maddux McGill and Owen Bunde each had an RBI.  Rise pitched two innings allowing three earned runs on two hits and six walks with three strikeouts.  Atwood threw two innings and recorded three strikeouts.  Lawson Schneiderman pitched one inning walking one and striking out three.

West Central Blue 7, Tri-Valley Maroon 2

Tri-Valley broke a scoreless tie when Schneiderman scored on a passed ball in the top of the second inning.   That was the only lead for Tri-Valley.  West Central scored five times in the bottom of the second inning.  Durick had an RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the third making the score 5-2.  West Central added a single run in the fourth and fifth innings.

Richter finished with a triple.  Nielsen had the only other hit for Tri-Valley.  Durick had an RBI.  Richter pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing four earned runs on two hits and five walks with three strikeouts.  Durick pitched two innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts.  Nielsen pitched 1 2/3 innings giving up an earned run on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.  Schneiderman threw one inning and allowed a hit while striking out one.
