Tri-Valley Girls Win Third Straight, Beat Nighthawks

The Tri-Valley Mustang girls won their third straight game at the DSU Classic in Madison on Saturday, January 31st.  The Mustangs defeated the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks 51-38.

Tri-Valley slowly increased their throughout the game.  They led 17-13 after the end of the first quarter.  The lead grew to 30-21 by halftime.  The Mustangs outscored Nighthawks 13-11 in the third quarter to increase the lead to 43-32 going into the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs shot 28% (17-60) from the field overall, 25% (7-28) on three-point shots, and 59% (10-17) from the free-throw line.  Tripp-Delmont/Armour would shoot 38% (12-32) overall, 1-6 on three-point attempts, and 72% (13-18) from the free-throw line.

Hailey Sorenson had 16 points and six rebounds.  Rowyn Gacke had 10 points, nine steals, and four rebounds.  Kadence Davey had six points and nine rebounds.  Mattie Huwe and Peyton Vogt each had six points and two rebounds.  Huwe also had seven assists, and Vogt had four steals.
