The Tri-Valley Mustang girls basketball team hosted the Garretson Blue Dragons in a make-up game on Tuesday, December 28th.  The game was originally scheduled for December 10th.

The story of the game for the Mustangs was they never panicked.  All throughout the game the Mustangs held a lead, and every time Garretson got close, Tri-Valley had a response.  The Mustangs led 15-9 at the end of the first quarter.  The Blue Dragons pulled within three points multiple times in the second quarter, but each time Tri-Valley extended the lead.  The Mustangs led 32-25 at halftime.

Tri-Valley started to pull away more in the second half.  The Mustangs pushed the lead to 40-30 late in the third quarter, but led 42-35 heading into the fourth.  The Blue Dragons got the lead down to five points, 43-38, early in the fourth quarter, but again Tri-Valley stopped any rally.  The Mustangs went on a 12-1 run for a 55-39 lead with 2:15 to play in the game.  Tri-Valley won the game 57-42.

Paige Jewett led the Mustangs with 23 points in the game.  Lauren Grinde finished with 17 points.  Anna Jones led the Blue Dragons with 14 points.

Tri-Valley (3-2) will host Baltic on Tuesday, January 4th.
