Tri-Valley Girls Get First Win on Road at Baltic

The Tri-Valley Mustang girls basketball team started the game on a 10-0 and never looked back in a 56-34 win over the Baltic Bulldogs on Monday, January 9th.

The Mustangs led 16-5 at the end of the first quarter.  The lead grew to 30-17 by halftime.   Tri-Valley then outscored Baltic 12-7 in the third quarter and 14-10 in the fourth quarter for the win.

The Mustangs shot 36% (20-55) from the field, 22% (5-23) from three-point area, and 48% (11-23) from the free-throw line.  Baltic was 39% (12-31) shooting overall, but just 1-12 from three-point area and 9-16 from the free-throw line.  The Mustangs also had a 36-18 rebounding advantage in the game.

Ava Pearson had 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Madelyn Wenzel finished with eight points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Lauren Grinde also had eight points and four rebounds along with three assists.  Hillary Hastings added six points and four rebounds.
