Tri-Valley Girls Earn Road Win in Canton

The Tri-Valley Mustang girls earned a 55-39 road win over the Canton C-Hawks on Tuesday, January 27th.  After an early 2-0 lead by Canton, it was all Tri-Valley.

The Mustangs got off to a hot start and led 19-5 at the end of the first quarter.  Both teams scored 14 points each in the second quarter, and Tri-Valley led 35-19 at halftime.  Tri-Valley would add to the lead in the third quarter.  They pushed to lead to over 20 points, 48-26, going into the fourth quarter.

Tri-Valley shot 33% (19-57) overall in the game, 26% (8-31) from three-point area, and 60% (9-15) from the free-throw line.  Canton shot 28% (13-47) from the field overall, 23% (3-13) on three-point attempts, and 34% (10-29) from the free-throw line.

Mattie Huwe finished with 24 points, three rebounds, and three steals.  Peyton Vogt had nine points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Rowyn Gacke added six points and seven assists.  Kadence Davey had five points and six rebounds.  Hailey Sorenson also had five points, six rebounds, as well as five steals.
