The Tri-Valley Mustang softball team cruised to a 15-0 win over the Parkston Trojans in the SoDak 16 in Sioux Falls on Tuesday, May 27th. Emry Jones pitched four innings and did not allow a hit while giving up just one walk and striking out five batters.
Tri-Valley put 10 runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. They got two runs in the second and another in the third for a 13-0 lead. The game ended on the 15-run rule in the bottom of the fourth after the Mustangs scored two more times.
Syenna Halverson had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Issabella Wetmore-Ocampo had two hits and an RBI. Ava Christensen added a home run with two RBIs. Jones also had a home run and an RBI. Kadence Davey had a single with an RBI. Izzy Davey and Rowyn Gacke both had one hit each. Reagan Pearson had an RBI.
The 2025 South Dakota State A Softball Tournament will be held in Aberdeen Thursday, June 5th through Saturday, June 7th.
