Tri-Valley Blanks Milbank on the Gridiron

The Tri-Valley Mustangs made the trip north to Milbank and came home with a 34-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday, September 5th.

Ty Owen connected with Brody Dybvig on an 18-yard pass to put the Mustangs on the board with 6:19 to play in the opening quarter.  The extra point was no good, and Tri-Valley led 6-0.  Landyn Reiser added to the lead with 8:01 to play in the second quarter with a 34-yard touchdown run.  Brady Jewett threw a completed pass to Connor Glasford for the two-point conversion to make the score 14-0.  Jewett had a two-yard quarterback sneak with 3:09 left in the half to extend the lead to 20-0.  The score stayed 20-0 at halftime.

Dybvig scored his second touchdown on a 10-yard run with 2:07 left in the third quarter. Jewett connected with Dybvig for the two-point conversion making the score 28-0.  The final score of the game was with 3:47 to play.  Cole Hendrixsson had a two-yard touchdown run.

Tri-Valley finished with 369 yards of total offense, 204 rushing yards and 165 passing yards.  Milbank finished with 72 total yards, 20 rushing yards and 52 passing yards.  The two teams also combined for eight turnovers in the game.
