Tri-Valley Baseball Wins Fifth Straight

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team won their fifth game in a row on Wednesday, April 23rd.  Tri-Valley defeated Baltic 15-6 to improve to 5-1.

After the first three innings were scoreless, Tri-Valley scored two runs in the top of the fourth.  They added six more in the top of the fifth for an 8-0 lead.  Baltic cut the lead in half with four runs in the bottom of the fifth making the score 8-4.  Tri-Valley had a four-run top of the sixth innings to extend the lead to 12-4.  Baltic got two runs back in the bottom of the inning to make the score 12-6.  Tri-Valley then scored their final three runs in the top of the seventh.

Parker Hemme had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.  Aiden Bunde added two singles with two RBIs.  Mason Hemme also had two hits with an RBI.  Denton Bicknase and Tristen Bunde each had a single and an RBI.  Alex Wingen added a triple.  Brody Dybvig, Treyson Richter, and Cooper Durick all had one single each.

Dybvig pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, but all unearned, on three hits and four walks with six strikeouts.  Landon Schenkel pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
