The Tri-Valley 17U Maroon team split their games on back-to-back days. They blanked Salem 15-0 on Tuesday, July 1st, but fell to West Central Royal 7-6 on Wednesday, July 2nd.
Tri-Valley Maroon 15, Salem 0
Tri-Valley scored in all three innings against Salem. They got four runs in the bottom of the first, nine in the bottom of the second, and two in the third to end the game on the 15-run rule. Lawson Schneiderman pitched all three innings and held Salem to just three hits and a walk while strikeout out four batters.
Abbott Moeller had two hits and four RBIs. Treyson Richter had two hits and an RBI. Evan Focken had a single with two RBIs. Cooper Nielsen added a double and an RBI. Brechen Frederick had a single and an RBI. Cooper Durick finished with a single. Schneiderman and Cole Hendrixson both had one RBI each.
West Central Royal 7, Tri-Valley Maroon 6
A wild seventh inning was the story of this game. After three scoreless innings, both teams scored two times in the fourth inning for a 2-2 tie. West Central got single runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to go ahead 4-2. Tri-Valley rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 6-4 lead. West Central scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, all with two outs, to get the walk-off win.
Moeller had a single with three RBIs. Focken added a hit and two RBIs. Frederick finished with a double. Richter and Durick each had one hit. Moeller pitched five innings and allowed three unearned runs on eight hits and three walks. Durick pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed four earned runs on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
