Tri-Valley 14U White Falls Short in Previous Two Games

The Tri-Valley White 14U team fell short in their last two games.  They lost to North Central Heart by a score of 12-6 on Wednesday, July 9th and then to Scooters Coffee 17-10 on Monday, July 14th.

North Central Heart 12, Tri-Valley White 6

North Central Heart used a big first and last inning to help them to the win.  They started the game with four runs in the top of the first inning.  Tri-Valley tied the game with four runs in the bottom of the second.  Tri-Valley took the lead, 5-4, with a run in the bottom of the third.  North Central Heart went back in front 6-5 with two runs in the top of the fourth.  Again, Tri-Valley tied the game, 6-6, with a run in the bottom of the fourth.  North Central Heart, however, scored six runs in the top of the fifth for the win.

Keegan Wipf and Trig Tietgen both had two hits each, both with a double, and an RBI.  Irshad Kalombo had a double with an RBI.  Jacob Schulte and Cameron Carroll both had a single and an RBI.  Elijah Strom also had a hit.

Scooters Coffee 17, Tri-Valley White 10

Both teams had lots of offense in the four-inning game on the 14th.  Tri-Valley started the game with the first two runs.  Scooters picked up eight runs in the bottom of the first and another seven in the bottom of the second for a 15-2 lead.  Tri-Valley battled back with six runs in the top of the third to cut the lead to 15-8.  Scooters added two more runs in the bottom of the third.  Tri-Valley was only able to get two runs in the top of the fourth before the game ended.

Carroll had two singles and three RBIs.  Wipf finished with two hits and an RBI.  Landon Sadler had a single and triple in the game.  Easton Pullman had a single with an RBI.  Strom, Xander Sharpe, Schulte, and Kalombo all had one hit each.
