Tri-Valley Maroon 16U lost a slugfest in Parker on Monday, June 24th. Parker took the win 17-13.
Parker scored four times in the bottom of the first and never lost the lead. Both teams scored a run in the second inning. Tri-Valley put three runs on the board in the top of the third, but Parker had a six-run inning making the score 11-4. Each team had a four-run fourth, and then both teams scored two runs each in the fifth. After five innings Parker led 17-10. Tri-Valley scored three more runs in the top of the seventh.
Treyson Ricther had three hits and six RBIs. Kaiden Bernards finished with two hits and an RBI. Brechen Frederick had a single with two RBIs. Tristen Bunde had a double and an RBI. Mason Hemme added two hits, including a double. Alex Wingen had a single, and Denton Bicknase finished with an RBI.
Hemme pitched 2 1/3 innings allowing eight runs, seven earned, on four hits and four walks with seven strikeouts. Richter also threw 2 1/3 innings and allowed two unearned runs on two hits with five strikeouts. Frederick threw 1 1/3 innings allowing seven runs, five earned, on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts.
