The Tri-Valley Mustangs cruised to an 18-2 win against the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers on Saturday, May 11th.
Tri-Valley scored three runs right away in the top of the first. They added seven more in the second and four in the top of the third for a 14-0 lead. The Chargers were able to get two runs in the bottom of third. After a scoreless fourth inning, Tri-Valley scored four more times in the top of the fifth.
The Mustangs had a total of 14 hits in the game. Ava Christensen had a home run, triple, and single with three RBIs. Kadence Davey had a triple and two singles. Emry Jones finished with two hits, one a home run, and two RBIs. Emery Pearson had a triple and single with an RBI. Reese Wilt added a home run and three RBIs. Syenna Bird finished with a double and an RBI. Reagan Pearson had a single and RBI, Izzy Davey had a single, and Isabella Wetmore-Ocampo added an RBI. Jones pitched five innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.
