Mustang Wrestling Team Wins Jesse James Invitational

The Tri-Valley Mustang wrestling team took the top spot at the Jesse James Invitational in Garretson on Saturday, January 7th.  The Mustangs finished with 181.5 points, just 1.5 points better than second place Elk Point-Jefferson.  Tri-Valley had four weight-class champions on the day.

Cole Hendrixson won the 113-pound class with three pins and a technical fall win.  Owen Effling won the 120-pound class with three wins, one pin and two decisions.  Brody Dybvig was the 145-pound champion with three pins on the day.  Isaac Nehlich won the 285-pound class with a pin and a decision win.

Treyson Richter (126) placed second with a 2-1 record.  Landyn Reiser (152) also placed second with a 2-1 record.  Evereet Althoff (182) finished third with a 2-1 record.  Mason Hendrickson (170) was fourth with a 2-2 record.  Xavier Yount (195) also placed fourth with a 1-2 record.

Owen Bunde (106) finished 3-2 on the day.  Cody Lofswold (120) was 2-2 in the tournament.  Tobin Lamer (106), Jackson Williams (113), Bracken Sharpe (132), and Jesus Mendoza (160) all had a 1-2 record.  Marcus Oberg finished 0-2.
