The Tri-Valley Mustang Wrestling teams traveled to Dell Rapids for the Dak-12 Conference Tournament on Saturday, January 24th.
The girls team placed sixth with 18 points. Yaretzi Barqueno finished second with a 2-1 record, both wins by fall. Brynnadele Made finished with an 0-3 record placing fourth.
The boys team had a great day finishing second with 187 points. Madison placed first with 209.5 points. Landyn Reiser took the top spot in the 175-pound class with a 3-0 record.
Connor Glassford (126), Owen Bunde (132), Owen Effling (150), and Brody Dybvig (190) all placed second with 2-1 records. Legend Frederick (106) and Cole Hendrixson (144) placed third with 3-1 records. Treyson Richter (157) was also third with a 2-1 record.
Sean King (113), Alex McFarland (138), Jackson Williams (165), and Luke Nehlich (285) all placed fourth with 2-2 records. Xavier Yount (215) was also fourth with a 1-2 record. Chase King (106) and Xander Sharpe (120) each finished 1-2 on the day, and Zachary Nehlich (190) was 0-2.
