The Tri-Valley Mustangs won two of their three matches at the Irene-Wakonda Tournament held on Saturday, September 6th.
The Mustangs faced Menno in the first match. Tri-Valley rolled through the first set to a win of 25-8. They also took the second set 25-17 for the straight-set match win.
Tri-Valley then faced Ethan in a close match with no set greater than a three-point difference. The Mustangs needed extra points, but they won the opening set 27-25. Ethan would take the second set by a score of 25-23 to force a third set. The Rustlers also won the third set 25-22 to win the match 2-1.
The final match of the day for the Mustangs was against Viborg-Hurley. The Mustangs were able to win that match in straight sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-16 to finish 2-1 for the day.
