The offense came in the second half of the game for both teams as Tri-Valley defeated the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies 15-4 in six innings on Tuesday, May 13th.
Neither team scored through the first three innings of the game. The Mustangs then scored three in the top of the fourth and three in the top of the fifth for a 6-0 lead. Elk Point-Jefferson cut the lead in half by scoring three times in the bottom of the fifth. Tri-Valley had a big nine-run sixth inning to make the score 15-3. The Huskies scored just one time in the bottom of the sixth and the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Emery Pearson had three singles and an RBI. Kadence Davey had a home run and double with two RBIs. Emry Jones added two doubles with two RBIs. Hailey Sorenson had two singles and two RBIs. Isabelle Wetmore-Ocampo had a hit with two RBIs. Syenna Halverson added a single and an RBI. Izzy Davey had one hit. Reagan Pearson and Danika Fluth both had one RBI each. Jones pitched six innings and allowed four earned runs on nine hits and three walks with seven strikeouts.
