Mustang Football Drops Home Game to Madison

After dropping a heart-breaking game in overtime, the Tri-Valley Mustangs hosted the Madison Bulldogs on Friday, October 3rd.  The Bulldogs scored 26 unanswered points on their way to a 33-7 win.

Madison scored first with 5:15 in the opening quarter on a seven-yard run.  The two-point conversion was good for an early 8-0 score.  They added a 16-yard touchdown pass with 9:12 in the second quarter.  The failed two-point conversion kept the score at 14-0.  The Bulldogs would get one more score right before halftime, this time on a 30-yard pass with just :02 remaining to give Madison a 20-0 lead.

The Bulldogs scored on a 37-yard interception return for a touchdown with 10:12 to play in the third quarter to extend the lead to 26-0.  Tri-Valley got on the board with 7:41 to play in the third quarter.  Brody Dybvig had an 11-yard touchdown run.  Jackson Williams made the extra point for a 26-7 score.  Madison scored again with 1:53 remaining in the third on a two-yard run.  The extra point was made, and the Bulldogs led 33-7.  Neither team scored in the final quarter.

Tri-Valley had 126 yards of total offense, 76 rushing yards and 50 passing yards.  Madison finished with 330 yards of offense, 139 rushing yards and 191 passing yards.  Dybvig had seven carries for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Brady Jewett had three carries for eight yards.  Jewett was also 7-14 passing for 50 yards and two interceptions.  Sullivan Ssnethen had two catches for 31 yards.  Parker Hemme had a catch for 12 yards.  Cole Hendrixson had eight tackles, and Lawson Lodmel had 7.5 tackles.
