Mustang Boys Golf Will Build on Experience This Season

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys golf team was young in 2022 and only had one player go to the state meet.  However, excitement is building in the program as this year’s team has 25 players from grades seven through 12 ready to play.

“Last year we were young and very inexperienced, which gave quite a few players the opportunity to gain experience at the varsity level.  Hopefully we will see that newfound experience start to pay off,” said head coach Brandon DeWitt.

Three seniors will help lead this year’s team, Isaac Langloss, Nathan Madison, and Austin Reuter.  Some other key returning payers that will be expected to compete well at tournaments are junior Carson Sanders, freshmen Treyson Ricther and Parker Atwood, and eighth-grader Jaxson Rise.

The boys golf season starts in Hartford at the West Central Invite on Monday, August 14th and then in Madison on Tuesday, August 15th.
