Madison Takes Advantage of Slow Start in Win over Mustang Boys

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys basketball team traveled to Madison on Tuesday, December 16th.  The Bulldogs took advantage of only four Tri-Valley points in the first quarter to lead them to a 55-31 win.

Madison started the game on a 13-0 run, and the Mustangs were outscored 15-4 in the opening quarter of the game.  The Bulldogs would extend the lead to 16 points by the end of the second quarter, 32-16.  Neither offense could get much going in the third quarter as the two teams combined for just 13 points.  Madison held a 41-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs shot 26.1% (12-46) overall in the game, 25% (4-16) on three-point shots, and 37.5% (3-8) from the free-throw line.  Madison was 38.9% (21-54) from the field, 36.4% (8-22) from three-point area, and 71.4% (5-7) from the free-throw line.

Brady Jewett finished with 15 points and four rebounds.  Ty Oyen added six points and five rebounds.  Dante Nehman ended with five points and two rebounds.
