The Tri-Valley Mustang wrestling team had a very successful 2024-2025 season. They had 10 state qualifiers, six state place finishers, and a seventh-place finish as a team. The Mustangs return the whole lineup from last year, and they are excited to get the season started.
Seniors Landyn Reiser (3rd at state), Brody Dybvig (4th at state), and Luke Nehlich (7th at state) will help lead the team this year. Juniors Owen Bunde (7th at state), Connor Glasford (5th at state), and Treyson Richter (6th at state) also return and look to make a big impact. The other state qualifiers returning this year are Sean King, Legend Frederick, Cole Hendrixson, and Xavier Yount.
“The Mustang wrestlers will be looking to improve on last season by qualifying for the State Duals and looking to to battle for a top spot in the State Championship Tournament,” said head coach Mike Gibson.
The season starts in Dell Rapids at the “Top of the Rock” tournament on Saturday, December 6th.
