The Tri-Valley Mustangs hosted the Chester Flyers in volleyball action on Tuesday, October 4th. The Flyers took the match in straight sets.
Chester started the match with a 5-0 run which set the tone for the first set. Their lead quickly grew to 14-3, and the Flyers won the first set 25-6. Tri-Valley got off to a better start in the second set, grabbing an early 4-2 lead. Chester, however, went on a 16-2 run for an 18-6 lead. They would win the second set 25-11. The Mustangs kept things close in the first half of the third set. Neither team was able to get an advantage as the score was tied multiple times. Tri-Valley was able to take a small 14-12 lead halfway through the set, but Chester again went on a run. The Flyers outscored Tri-Valley 10-2 for a 22-16 lead and eventually won the set 25-20.
Tri-Valley will travel to Elk Point-Jefferson on Friday, October 7th.
