Dell Rapids 16U scored eight runs in the first two innings in a 14-4 win over Tri-Valley Maroon on Tuesday, June 18th.
After holding Tri-Valley scoreless in the first two innings, Dell Rapids scored three runs in the first and five more in the second for an 8-0 lead. Tri-Valley got a run on the board in the top of the fourth, but Dell Rapids added five more in the bottom of the inning for a 13-1 lead. Tri-Valley scored three times in the third. Dell Rapids, however, scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Treyson Richter had a double and an RBI. Parker Atwood added a single and an RBI. Gage Egger also had an RBI in the game. Denton Bicknase pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed seven runs, three earned, on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts. Mason Hemme pitched two innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on two hits and three walks. Richter threw an inning giving up two earned runs on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts.
