The Tri-Valley Mustang track team traveled to Chester for the Chester Invitational on Tuesday, April 15th. The boys team finished third with 111 points, and the girls team placed fourth as a team with 88 points.
Kadence Davey won the javelin with a throw of 122’10”. Peyton Vogt was second in the 300m hurdles in a time of :50.43. The 4x200m relay team of Vogt, Katrina Fluth, Emry Jones, and Davey finished second in a time of :54.43. Jones placed third in the 100m hurdles in :16.97 and third in the long jump with a jump of 14’9″. Carly Rickenbaugh was third in the 300m hurdles in :50.44. Fluth was third in the high jump with a leap of 4’6″. The sprint medley relay team of Lauren Dittbenner, Haleigh Wallenstein, Tyler Gibson, and Rowyn Gacke placed third in a time of 5:04.04.
The boys team had multiple first place winners. Brody Dybvig won the 100m dash in a time of :11.63. Jaxton Rinehart placed first in the 3200m run in 11:16.55. Ty Oyen won both the 110m hurdles (:15.91) and the 300m hurdles (:43.31). Luke Nehlich won the discus with a throw of 138’8″. Xavier Yount placed first in the javelin with a throw of 137’6″. The 4x100m relay team of Corven Jensen, Oyen, Dybvig, and Owen Effling won with a time of :44.57. Effling placed second in the 100m dash in :11.71. The 4x200m relay team of Effling, Oyen, Landon Reiser, and Jensen placed second in 1:34.57. The sprint medley relay team of Eli Lien, Reiser, Brady Jewett, and Teagin Gacke finished third in 4:11.50.
