The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team hosted the Baltic Bulldogs in their “Dig Pink” night on Monday, October 14th. The Bulldogs won in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-10, and 25-17.
Baltic opened the first set with a 5-1 run. The Mustangs went on a run of their own, 7-3, to take a 9-8 lead. The Bulldogs went on another run, 10-4, and they regained the lead 18-13. Baltic continued with a 7-3 advantage to a 25-16 win. Tri-Valley started the second set with a slim 2-1 lead. Baltic went on a 9-0 run for a 10-2 advantage. The Mustangs cut the lead to four points, 11-7, but the Bulldogs finished the second set with a 14-3 run for a 25-10 win.
Tri-Valley started the third set with a 5-2 lead. The Mustangs continued to lead 7-3 and then 10-8. Tri-Valley was hanging on to an 11-10 lead before Baltic tied the score 13-13. The Bulldogs pulled ahead 17-15 and continued to lead 19-17. Baltic finished with a 6-0 run to win the match 25-17.
