Tri-Valley Boys Regular Season Ends in Road Loss to SF Christian

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys finished their regular season on the road at Sioux Falls Christian on Friday, February 27th.  The Chargers pulled away in the second half for an 81-56 win.

Sioux Falls Christian started the game with a 5-0 run and slowly extended the lead to 22-11.  The first quarter ended with the Chargers leading 25-16.  The Mustangs scored the first three points of the second quarter to make the score 25-19.  The Chargers answered with an 11-0 run to make the score 36-19 with 2:30 to go in the half.  Tri-Valley ended the quarter on a 9-3 run to cut the deficit to 39-28 at halftime.  The Mustangs got within 10 points, 41-31, with 7:00 to play in the third quarter, but that was as close as they would get.  The Chargers pulled away throughout the rest of the game.  They led 64-44 going into the fourth quarter and then 75-48 with 3:45 left in the game.

Tri-Valley shot 43% (19-44) overall in the game, 50% (8-16) from three-point area, and 5-6 from the free-throw line.  Sioux Falls Christian was 51% (36-71) shooting overall, 33% (8-24) from three-point area, and 6-11 from the free-throw line.

Ty Oyen had 16 points and nine rebounds.  Brady Jewett finished with 14 points and three assists.  Tristen Bunde added nine points, two rebounds, and two assists.  Koby Krome ended with six points and two rebounds.
