Tri-Valley Boys Suffer Loss in Final Home Game of Regular Season

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys lost their last regular season home game to the Baltic Bulldogs on Monday, February 23rd.  The Bulldogs won the game of spurts by a score of 50-39.

After the Mustangs led 4-2, Baltic went on a 5-0 run to take a 7-4 lead.  Tri-Valley tied the game 7-7, but the Bulldogs scored the final four points of the quarter for an 11-7 lead.  Baltic pushed the lead to 16-9, but the Mustangs fought back to within two points 16-14.  The Bulldogs would end the half on a 9-0 run for a 25-14 halftime lead.

The run for the Bulldogs continued into the third quarter.  They scored the first four points to make the run 13-0 and increase their lead to 29-14.  Tri-Valley would respond with an 10-0 run to get within five points, 29-24.  Again the Bulldogs stopped the rally and scored the final four points of the third quarter for a 33-24 lead going into the fourth quarter.  The Bulldogs were able to maintain the lead throughout the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Tri-Valley finished the game shooting 33% (14-42) overall, 33% (4-12) on three-point shots, and 7-8 from the free-throw line.  Baltic was 39% (21-54) shooting overall, 13% (3-24) on three-point shots, and 5-9 from the free-throw line.

Brady Jewett ended with 20 points and two rebounds.  Kobe Krome added seven points and two rebounds.  Lawson Schneiderman finished with five points and five rebounds.  Tristen Bunde had four points and five rebounds.
