Tri-Valley Drops Close Game to Deubrook

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys dropped a close game to the Deubrook Dolphins in White, 44-40, on Tuesday, January 20th.

The Dolphins opened the game on a 9-3 run.  Tri-Valley responded with a 7-0 run to go in front 10-9 with 3:30 left in the first quarter.  Deubrook, however, ended the first quarter with a 16-13 lead.  The game was tied 18-18 with 4:00 to go in the half.  The first half ended with the Dolphins leading 24-23.

The Mustangs would go in front 32-31 with just under 4:00 to play in the third quarter.  Once again the Dolphins would regain the lead and held a 35-32 advantage going into the fourth quarter.  Tri-Valley went on a 6-2 run for a 38-37 lead with 4:30 to play.  After the Dolphins made the next basket to go back in the lead 39-38, Tri-Valley regained the lead 40-39 with 4:00 remaining.  That was the last score the Mustangs in the game.  Deubrook ended the game on a 5-0 run for the win.

Brady Jewett had 17 points.  Kobe Krome, Mason Hemme, and Dante Nehman all had six points each.  Ty Oyen had three points, and Lawson Schneiderman finished with two points.
