Dell Rapids Mudcats and Dell Rapids PBR squared off against one another in the opening round of the District 4B Tournament on Saturday, July 22nd, in Madison.  The Mudcats are the #1 seed in the tournament, and Dell Rapids PBR is the #8 seed.

The Mudcats earned the 10-3 win over PBR.  The Mudcats scored three runs right away in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in the win.  Trevor Fruedenthal hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning for the Mudcats.  Colin Karst pitched a complete game giving up three runs on five hits while striking out nine batters.  Kevin Krull and Zane Schumacher had RBI hits for PBR.

The Mudcats advanced to the semifinals which will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, at 6:00 p.m..  Dell Rapids PBR will play in an elimination game on Thursday, July 27th, also at 6:00 p.m..  Both games will be at Flynn Field in Madison.
