Flandreau Invite Track Results – Girls

On Saturday, April 26th, the Dell Rapids Quarrier girls track team participated in the Flandreau Invitational Meet.

Iliene Jaycox won the 100m dash. Cheyenne Spielmann finished first in the 800m run, Madie Vietor placed first in the long jump and triple jump, Brittney Siemonsma won the shot put and discus, and the 1600m relay team of Sami Rieder, Hannah Fiedler, Lindsey Morris and Megan Miles finished first.

Kiah Schumacher finished second in the 200m dash, Miles placed second in the 400m dash, Jessica Tisher placed sec on in the triple jump, and the 400m relay team of Reider, Schumacher, Morris, and Jaycox finished second. The 800m relay team of Rieder, Morris, Miles and Schumacher along with the 3200m relay team of Lexi Snyder, Amanda Tomes, Rieder, and Spielmann placed second in their respective events.

Lexi Snyder placed third in the 1600m run, Jaycox placed third in the long jump, Kali Graham was third in the 100m dash, and the medley relay team of Schumacher, Arial Hoffman, Fiedler, and Snyder also finished third.

Amanda Tomes placed fourth in the 400m dash, Morris finished fourth in the 100m hurdles, Tisher was fourth in the long jump, and Graham also placed fourth in the high jump.

Sydney Stofferahn had a fifth place finish in the discus, and Hoffman also placed fifth in the long jump. Betsy Amundson had a sixth place finish in the 800m run, and Mara Adams was sixth in the discus.

Quarrier Boys Win BAH Invitational

The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls and boys track teams participated in the BAH Invitational at Beresford on Tuesday, April 22nd. The girls team took home fourth place with a team score of 62. Sioux Falls Christian won the event with 131.33 points. Tri-Valley finished second with 67 team points. The Quarrier boys won the event with a team score of 147. Sioux Falls Christian finished second with 104 points.

On Monday, March 24th, the Dell Rapids Quarriers boys and girls track teams participated in the Dan Lennon Invite in Vermillion. Maddie Vietor placed fifth in the triple jump and eighth in the long jump for the girls team.s The boys 4×200 meter relay placed third, the 4×400 meter relay placed seventh, Mason Schmidt finished eighth in the high jump, Bret Nichols placed second in both the triple jump and the long jump, Ty Hoglund finished third in the long jump, and Tanner Ljunggren finished eighth in the triple jump.

The Quarriers will head back to Vermillion on Tuesday, April 1st, for a practice meet.

Quarriers Place Well at State Track Meet

The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls track team finished 14th in the team standings with 17 points at the 2013 State A Track Meet held in Lennox on Friday, May 24th, and in Sioux Falls on Saturday, May 25th. St. Thomas More finished first with 95.50 points. Sioux Falls Christian was second with 90.50 points, and Madison was third with 70 points.

The Quarrier boys track team finished third in the team standings with 56 points. Custer won the team championship with 106 points. St. Thomas More finished second with 58 points.

The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls and boys track teams participated in the Region 3 Track Meet on Thursday, May 16th, in Elkton. The girls team finished third as a team with a score of 111 points. Madison won the event with a team score of 225.50, and Sioux Falls Christian finished second with a score 158.50. The boys team finished second in the region meet with a team score of 167.50. Quarriers Host Track Meet

The Dell Rapids Quarriers hosted the Dells Invite on Monday, May 6th. Both the Quarriers and Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal track teams participated in the invite. The Quarrier girls team finished 2nd with 119.33 points. Dell Rapids St Mary finished 7th as a team with 39 points. Harrisburg finished 1st with 177.67 points. The Quarrier boys once again finished first with 215 points. Dell Rapids St Mary finished 10th with 21 points. Harrisburg finished 2nd with 138 points. Quarrier Tracksters Place Well at Dakota Relays

Some of the Dell Rapids Quarrier tracksters had a good showing at the weather-shortened Howard Wood Dakota Relays on Friday, May 3rd, and Saturday, May 4th, in Sioux Falls. For the girls, Cassidy Wright finished 7th in the shot put with a throw of 38’7″. Wright also finished 4th in the discus with a throw of 123’11”. Maddie Vietor finished 8th in the long jump with a leap of 16’4.25″. For the boys, Brett Nichols finished 8th in the triple jump with a leap of 42’2.25″. Nichols also finished 4th in the long jump with a jump of 20’2.75″. The boys 800m Relay team finished 3rd with a time of 1:34.24. Cole Langer won the shot put event with a toss of 59’5″. Spencer Kerzman placed 8th in the high jump with a jump of 5’10”.

The Quarrier track team will be hosting the Dells Invite on Monday, May 6th.

Quarrier Track Team Has Another Good Showing

The Dell Rapids Quarrier Track teams participated in the LenWood Invite on Tuesday, April 30th, in Lennox. The girls team finished 5th as a team with a total of 58 points. Sioux Falls Christian finished 1st with a team score of 142, Harrisburg was 2nd with 105 points, and Tri-Valley finished 3rd with 63 points. The boys team finished 1st with a total of 155.66 points. Harrisburg finished 2nd with 116.50 points, and Parker finished 3rd with 98.83 points. Both the boys and girls will participate in the Howard Wood Relays on May 3rd and 4th.
